Disc 02
Folklore (Denshou) / Wanted (Simei Tehai)

Folklore:
In this episode, we learn more about the purpose of the Scarlet Knights. Apparently they act as system monitors and are bound by honor. Recently, though, they believe that the morality of the players has dropped. The folklore portion of the episode focuses on a legendary secret item called the “Key of the Twilight” which can alter The World from its core. Sora, shady as ever, convinces Subaru to work with him on the matter, as he believes Tsukasa may be at the center of this mystery.
Tsukasa, on the other hand, is back in his sanctuary, which appears to be a hidden realm that no other player can access. The Voice tells him not to fear and to do as he wishes. He then trains with Maho until he feels in control of his guardian. Once Tsukasa is reasonably confident he has control, he emails Mimiru to meet him. Fearing that Tsukasa doesn’t really like her and that it would only put more strain on their relationship, Mimiru asks Bear to go in her place. Tsukasa is a bit disappointed when Bear arrives but ready to demonstrate his new control, an accomplishment he seems quite proud of. Bear, unfortunately, is not impressed and breaks into lecture until Tsukasa teleports away. Mimiru, however, is too curious to stay behind, and shows up right after Tsukasa leaves.
Back in The World, Bear and Mimiru explain to Subaru that Tsukasa may actually be a victim of his guardian and describe the fight they had with him previously. It was not Tsukasa, but the cat, who stopped the guardian from harming Bear. They also express concern that Tsukasa can’t log out and suggest Subaru check the player logs if she needs proof.

Wanted:
The Voice is becoming increasingly influential on Tsukasa, and in this episode, it tells him that they will always be together… just the three of them. Tsukasa, frustrated and confused, asks how that can be so when it won’t even show him its true form. The Voice tells him that he already knows her. Tsukasa whispers “Mother” as he sees a flashback to what appears to be his mother’s funeral and begins to cry.
Elsewhere, Bear tells Mimiru of his investigation into Tsukasa’s offline personality. Bear is somewhat convinced that Tsukasa is actually a comatosed girl being kept alive by machines. They seek out Tsukasa and Mimiru asks him if he’s a girl in real life. Tsukasa is offended by this, denies the accusations, and teleports away. As he sits alone, a group of girls comes up to him and requests to fight him. He warns them that he is very angry and that would be a bad thing. They welcome the challenge. Tsukasa’s guardian appears, and he finds that he still cannot control it, as it viciously kills the group of girls. When Subaru hears of this, she decides to ask the system administrator to ban his character and seeks to restrain his character within the game.
