ROBIN HOOD LAKE and FOREST

Crash Corrigan said: "A mile east of Silvertown on the Corriganville Ranch you ran across a big area that I developed into a lake where we had the Robin Hood Lake and the Robin Hood Forest which was an oak forest that we cleaned up and parts of the area were reseeded to keep it nice and green, and many a big picture were made there like "The Swordsman" and a Tyrone picture made there called "Mississippi Gambler" and many others. You'll remember that all the horse scenes in "The Robe" were shot there and some of the Robin Hood pictures and many hundreds of others were made around that lake. All the Civil War night scenes of "How The West Was Won" were shot there."

At no time was the lake associated with the Errol Flynn picture, The Adventures of Robin Hood.
