ARNAZ RANCH/HAL ROACH RANCH

This ranch was once a part of the Spanish Land Grant of Jose De Arnaz in the Rincon de Los Bueyes section of Los Angeles, near Culver City. In early 1923, Hal Roach purchased 10 acres of the property on Arnaz Road. According to a Los Angeles Times newspaper article on February 21, 1923, "the new Roach holdings will become the permanent home of the Our Gang Company, and within a few weeks this unit will be moved there. The entire Roach menagerie will be established on the ranch."

The ranch was located about a mile from the Hal Roach Studio in Culver City.
