SAUGUS TRAIN DEPOT


The Saugus Train Depot, located in Saugus, California, was opened on September 1, 1887. It closed on November 15, 1978. Due to be destroyed, the station was saved and relocated to Heritage Junction, next to the William S. Hart Park, on June 24, 1980.

DIRECTIONS: From Los Angeles, take Interstate 5 north to Highway 14 east. Exit at San Fernando Road. Stay to the left at the fork in the ramp and merge onto San Fernando Road. The new location of the depot is at Heritage Junction, adjacent to the William S. Hart Park & Museum, which is located on the left at 24151 San Fernando Road. The original location of the depot was across the street from the Saugus Cafe, which is located at 25861 San Fernando Road.
