ROWLAND V. LEE RANCH

Rowland V. Lee purchased 214 acres of Canoga Park land in 1935, naming the ranch Farm Lake Ranch. In 1945, Republic Pictures erected the set shown in the below photograph for their film I've Always Loved You.

The ranch site nowadays

DIRECTIONS: To reach the ranch site (one lake still remains), from Los Angeles, take the 101 freeway north (west). Exit at Topanga Canyon Road and turn north (right). Turn left at Roscoe Blvd. After you pass Fallbrook Ave. you will be in and around the ranch site. On the right will be the entrance to Hidden Lake Estates. If the gate happens to be open, drive in. The remaining lake is surrounded by a small park/recreation area and is bounded by Samra Drive and Sedan Ave, which encircle the lake.
