MGM RANCH

In 1967, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer purchased about 2,000 acres of land of the Conejo Ranch of the Janss' family, with the intention of relocating their studios to the new location. Due to financial setbacks and hostile takeover battles, MGM liquidated their capital holdings. In 1978, Shapell Industries, a home builder, purchased the ranch and subdivided the property.

There was no known filming on the ranch.
