Lake Los Angeles is one of many dry lakes in the northern reaches of Los Angeles County, located east of Palmdale. While it has been used for television westerns, such as "Hondo", it was also used in the B-Western days.

DIRECTIONS: From Los Angeles, take Interstate 5 north to the 14 Freeway north. Exit at Palmdale Blvd and turn right (east). Turn left (north) at 170th Street East. Turn left at Avenue P. You are at Lake Los Angeles and Lovejoy Springs. The area has been changed since the filming days, but you will find residential streets with names such as Mackennas Gold, High Chaparral, and Rawhide.
