ABKCO!!! WHEN WILL YOU RELEASE THE MOVIES OF ALEJANDRO JODOROWSKY?
This page has been put up in an attempt to convince ABKCO entertainment, to release the films of Alejandro Jodorowsky, the foremost (and perhaps only) Jewish Hispanic director. Because there are no other Jewish Hispanic film makers, writers or artists of any reknown whatsoever, this minority viewpoint has inadvertently been silenced.
Alejandro Jodorowsky began making films in the late 60's. After his first independent venture, Fando y Lis, he was able to raise enough money to film El Topo which is widely considered to be his seminal work. El Topo was seen by John Lennon, member of the British rock group the Beatles. Lennon was so impressed with the movie that he contacted then manager Allen Klein and arranged to finance Jodorowsky's next film. In doing so Allen Klein acquired the rights to El Topo and his soon to be made film La Montaņa Sagrada (or Holy Mountain) under his company ABKCO entertainment.
A MESSAGE TO THE FANS
Fans are always writing to people who run websites on Alejandro Jodorowsky and asking about how to get these movies. Well below is the e-mail address for ABKCO, along with their real world address, as well as their phone and fax numbers. If you want a copy of either El Topo or La Montaņa Sagrada (or Holy Mountain) contact them because they own the rights to these movies. At the very least write an e-mail, but an actual letter would probably be much more effective. Please remember to be polite and coherent; after all, you are trying to persuade them to do something for you.

Jodorowsky's Other Films
If you are looking for Fando y Lis, a DVD is available from Fantoma Films (The DVD also contains the documentary La Constellation Jodorowsky).
To get an uncut NC-17 version of Santa Sangre on VHS go to Buy.com (This is my favorite film by him).
The Rainbow Thief is available on VHS from Reel.com (This is his most commercial work).
