ABOUT HER CHARACTER
Marisa Coughlan plays Sheila in GOSSIP. Sheila is friends with both Jones and Naomi, two girls from different sides of the tracks. Around campus Sheila is the one who is the biggest gossip, Jones knows this about Sheila and decides that she would be the perfect first person to tell about the rumor she and Derrick have concocted about Naomi. Without a doubt, Sheila gets the ball rolling and quickly starts spreading the dirt about Naomi.
ABOUT MARISA
Marisa was born March 17, 1975 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. She can be seen in the recent films "Super Troopers" and "Pumpkin" with Christina Ricci, Brenda Blethyn and Dominique Swain. Coughlan was the star of a short-lived TV drama called "Wasteland" which was created by Kevin Williamson, the creator of "Dawson's Creek" and writer of "Scream". One of Marisa's co-stars in the series was Sasha Alexander, who played Joshua Jackson's sister on "Dawson's Creek". Kevin Williamson worked with Marisa once again when he directed her in the film "Teaching Mrs. Tingle", where she got to work with yet another "Dawson's Creek" star, Katie Holmes.
