After watching previews for "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination) is accusing director Kevin Smith of making homophobic and offensive jokes against gays in the new film. Smith claims that he didn't make the jokes at the expense of the gay community, he also says that nothing in the film should be taken seriously considering that the two leads are "idiots".
Academy Award winning actor Ben Affleck (who most recently starred in "Pearl Harbor") has recently checked himself into rehab citing alcoholism problems. Ben wishes to have the healthiest life possible. His fans wish him the best.
JAMES MARSDEN ALERT: Fall 2001, James will be joining the cast the the hit comedy series "Ally McBeal". Watch out for him.
Although Rachel shocked TV viewers with news of her pregnancy on "Friends" her real life counterpart actress Jennifer Aniston is NOT pregnant.
The hit TV Series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" has not been cancelled. The UPN network has bought the show from rival network The WB after UPN agreed to pay more per episode than The WB was willing to. UPN has also rescued "Roswell" from cancellation. The WB cancelled the sci-fi series "Roswell" after 2 seasons. "Buffy" and "Roswell" can be seen on Tuesdays this Fall on UPN.
GOSSIP Star Joshua Jackson and his "Dawson's Creek" co-stars are set to return for another season of teen angst. The drama will enter it's 5th season this Fall and will now be set in Boston as the kids head off to college. Some fans were left wondering how Dawson will stick around Boston after deciding to go to USC film school in California while other fans were left wondering wether Drue Valentine(played by Mark Matkevitch), loved by some but hated by others, will return for another season of tormenting the Creek gang.
Oliver Hudson(brother of GOSSIP Star Kate Hudson) will be starring in his own TV series. The show is called "Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rock Star" and will air in 2002 on The WB Network. The series is an American Version of a 1998 British TV series.
Speaking of Kate's family. Kate Hudson played a groupie(or as she liked to call herself a "band-aid") in the film ALMOST FAMOUS. Now her mother, Goldie Hawn, will be playing a former groupie who tries to prove that she's still got what it takes to be a groupie in the film THE BANGER SISTERS with Susan Sarandon and TRAFFIC star Erika Christensen(who recently won the Female Breakthrough Performance Award at the 2001 MTV Movie Awards).
MARISA COUGHLAN ALERT: One of Showtime's cable networks will be airing and entire season of unseen episodes from the TV series "Wasteland", starring Gossip star Coughlan, Scream 2's Rebecca Gayheart and Sasha Alexander from "Dawson's Creek". The series can be seen on the channel Showtime NEXT later this year.
After again being arrested, actor Robert Downey Jr. has been fired from "Ally McBeal" the series which earned him a Golden Globe Award. The series will have to wrap up story lines involving his character without him. "Ally" creator David E. Kelley was one of Downey's biggest supporters.
Actors Vince Vaughn, Steve Buscemi and writer Scott Rosenberg(DISTURBING BEHAVIOR) were caught in a bar brawl in Wilmington, North Carolina(where "Dawson's Creek" is shot). They were in Wilmington working on a new John Travolta flick. Vince Vaughn was reportedly surrounded by people in the bar and not being very pleasant, one bystander said he was "being a jerk!" and that's how the fight broke out. Steve Buscemi suffered stab wounds but is said to be okay.
Okay, I'm still a little upset that Joaquin Phoenix and Kate Hudson didn't win the Oscars they so deserved, but anyways here's some more Hot Gossip
