Rex Killiante:
Actually, my first attempt at writing Sonic fanfiction was a small story about Tails...the main thing I remember about it was that it started with beautiful scenery depictions. :-P It would have probably gone somewhere, had I not made a HUGE mistake.
I started it as a community effort. In other words, I posted the first bit to a forum, hoping for true genius to manifest itself in the form of other writers. Instead, I got drivel and a sizable heaping of nonsensical fan characters.
Sean Catlett:
Ahhh the Sonic fandom.
Rex Killiante:
Yeah, the overall intelligence I saw among most of the writers made retards look like Einstein. I like to believe that most of them were from the gaming side of Sonic. I was never really a fan of the games. So I (perhaps unfairly) like to draw this distinction between the different factions of Sonic fans.
Sean Catlett:
Is that first attempt available for reads anywhere?
Rex Killiante:
Hell if I know. I don't remember where I even posted it. But it was a sophomoric attempt, at best.
After that fiasco, I knew I'd have to go solo.
Sean Catlett:
Hence, Noir?
Rex Killiante:
Yes, and when I failed to go solo with Noir, it often had dire consequences. I'll explain that later.
