Goku is the most important character in Dragonball, DragonballZ, and DragonballGT. Goku is not a cocky Saiyan like Vegeta. Goku was sent on a mission to destroy Earth, but he fell off a cliff and bumped his head. He lost his mission memories, so Grandpa Gohan took care of him, and from there on out he was named Goku instead of Kakarot. Goku grows up and soon meets Bulma, along with Tien, Yamcha and many others. In Dragonball, Goku finds Chi-Chi, and by the beginning of DragonballZ the two get married and have a son named Gohan. Goku's best friend since Dragonball, Krillin was killed by Frieza on Planet Namek which caused Goku to go Super Saiyan for the first time. When Gohan is eleven years old Goten is born. In DragonballGT Goku achieves the SSJ4 level and Vegeta helps him kill Evil Shenlong.
Vegeta is probably the second most important character in DragonballZ, and DragonballGT. His father King Vegeta was the ruler of Planet Vegeta, until Frieza took it over and King Vegeta was second in command. Vegeta is a cocky prince of the Saiyan race. One day his planet is blown up by Frieza, so Vegeta and his partner Nappa fly off in their Saiyan Space Pod to Planet Arlia. Vegeta soon becomes much stronger and goes to Planet Earth with Nappa to destroy it. Vegeta has many encounters with Goku but they hardly get to battle. Vegeta soon reaches the Super Saiyan level during the fight with Andorid 19 & Android 20. Vegeta soon meets Bulma and grows a sort of weird interest for her. He marries Bulma and has a son and a daughter. His children are Bra, and Trunks. In DragonballGT Vegeta achieves the SSJ4 level and helps Goku kill Evil Shenlong.
Krillin is a Buddhist Monk who trained with Goku and Master Roshi in Dragonball. He is short but really cool. Krillin was always made fun of in his dojo, for being weak and short. He has no hair. He is the strongest human, but never as strong as any of the Saiyans. His special attack is the Destructo Disk. It can cut through almost anything. Krillin eventually grows hair later in DragonballZ. He then marries Android 18 and later has a daughter named Marron. Krillin was killed by Frieza on Planet Namek which caused Goku to go Super Saiyan for the first time. Eventually in DragonballGT, Krillin is killed by Super 17. Krillin is one of the most important characters in DragonballZ.
Piccolo is a Namekian who is Goku's arch-enemy until Radditz arrives. Piccolo is a strong warrior but has a very bad temper. One day a Saiyan invades Earth and Piccolo and Goku fight him. Piccolo kills Raditz along with Goku who sacrificed his life to kill Raditz. Goku's trademark manuever is the Masenko Sapae. After the fight of Raditz, Piccolo trains Gohan to survive six months by himself in the wilderness. Then Piccolo trains Gohan. When training with Piccolo, Gohan changes Piccolo from a demon to a noble and brave warrior. Piccolo gave his own life to save Gohan from Nappa's blast because he cared about Gohan so much. Piccolo eventually merges with Nail and Kami. In DragonballGT, Piccolo decides to stay on Earth when it explodes so that he makes sure that the Dragonballs can't be used anymore so nobody would wish for evil.
Raditz is the older brother of Goku. Raditz and Goku's father was named Bardock. Bardock was killed by Frieza. Goku was sent to Earth to destroy all the Earthlings so that the planet could be sold on the market. Goku hit his head and lost his memory, so Raditz later came to Earth to retrieve Goku and get him to destroy all the inhabitants of Earth. Goku had turned good and didn't remember Raditz. When Goku refused to wipe out the population on the planet, Raditz kidnapped Goku's son, Gohan. Raditz ordered that in order for Goku to get his son back, Goku had to kill 100 Earthlings by tommorrow and leave them at the Kami's Lookout. So Goku did not kill anyone and he fought Raditz. Piccolo had also come to help Goku in the fight. Raditz's Power Level then was stronger than the two's combined, so in a desperation manuever Piccolo fired his Masenko Sapae and killed both Goku and Raditz.
Yamcha is a great human fighter. His trademark attack if the Wolf Fang Fist. Yamcha was originally a bandit in Dragonball. He lives with his friend Puar. When Yamcha met Goku as a boy in Dragonball, he fought him and then decided to help Goku on his quest for the Dragonballs. Yamcha wanted to make a wish to not be afraid of women every time he met one. At first, Yamcha was afraid of Bulma, along with all other women. He eventually overcame his fear of women, and wanted to marry Bulma. Yamcha was nearly suffocated in the Android Saga. He is the third strongest human on Planet Earth. Yamcha stopped fighting all of the enemies of the Z Fighters after the Android Saga. Yamcha is a really cool DBZ character.
Chi-Chi is a rather nice woman, but kind of short-tempered. Chi-Chi's father is the Ox King. Chi-Chi meets Goku in Dragonball and soon marries him in DragonballZ. The two later have a son named Gohan. Chi-Chi is always worrying about Gohan and his school education. Chi-Chi always urges Gohan to do his homework, and hates for him to fight with Goku. Chi-Chi and Goku later on have a son named Goten. Chi-Chi is always worrying about Gohan, so her father always tries to help her calm down.
