Daniel Radcliffe was born July 23rd, 1989. Daniel, who prefers to be called Danny, resides in Fulham, a tiny section of London. Daniel is the only son of Marcia Gresham, a casting director, and Alan Radcliffe, a literary agent. Daniel has two dogs, Binka and Nugget. Daniel's hobbies include running, gymnastics (he can run up a wall and do a somersault off of it), formula one racing, watching WWF (especially The Rock) and of course, acting...and doing a splendid job of it. Dan attends an all boys school. (Parochial, I'm assuming?) It seems almost internationally known that Dan's parents weren't too keen on the idea of Dan going out for the role of Harry. Eventually, they warmed up to the idea, and Dan was set. Dan never expected to land the role, being that countless other children would be auditioning for the part. Lucky for him, and for us, he got it! Dan's musical interests include U2, REM, and one of his current favorites is the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. Dan looks to actors Joseph Fiennes, Jude Law and Philip Seymour Hoffman as his favorites. Some of Dan's favorite actresses include Kate Winslet, Kate Hudson and Julia Roberts. When asked about his future acting plans, Dan admits, "I might like to be an actor...but there are loads of other things I'm interested in as well, like music and writing and sports. Did you know that Dan is a bit of a prankster? On the set of Stone, Dan managed to gain access to actor Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid)'s cellular phone. He somehow activated an option that changed all of Coltrane's messages to Turkish!
According to actor Bob Hoskins (who co-starred with Dan in Copperfield), Dan has a mischievous wit about him! Dan apparently composed a "not-so-appropriate" version of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" that Hoskins' deemed "quite rude"...who would have thought!
Did you know that Dan rarely wears his glasses? Instead of using them for visual assistance, he uses them as a chew toy! Because of the latter, Dan chipped his front tooth!
Dan and the rest of the Potter cast have already began principal photography for Chamber of Secrets. Apparently, they've already mastered the flying car scene. Dan found that sitting behind the wheel of a moving car was quite exhilarating!
