A quality-looking set or background is crucial to any production.  Typically, producers scout locations all over the world to find the perfect setting for their project.  Now, finding a great set has become easier with the dawn of virtual sets.  The beauty of a virtual set is that it becomes possible to have a big budget look while saving time, and most importantly money.  Here’s an example...

The subject is shot against a chroma key screen (either green as pictured above or blue) and the background is keyed out through a video editing program such as Adobe After Effects.  The background is then replaced with the virtual set.  We would be happy to provide more in depth information on the process of chroma keying upon request.
