Percy in Chamber of Secrets
In Harry and Ron's second year, we learn that Percy has a secret. A secret he wants no one to know, though his sister Ginny (a first year) seems to have the heads up. In the beginning we find Harry at the Weasley's house, after being rescued by a flying Ford Anglia from the Dursley's. Harry is infomed that Percy has been acting oddly during the summer, hardly gloating at his brilliant OWL scores, and for the most part, staying locked up in his room. We later find out that Percy has in fact been writing to his girlfriend, Penelope Clearwater; Penelope is a Ravenclaw prefect. And the secret that Ginny knows, other than who is opening the Chamber, is she walked in on Percy and Penelope kissing! So, in Chamber we find a softer, warmer, and more sensitive side to the rule abiding, star Gryffindor student. Even though he read Prefects who Gained Power...big deal, he's really a sweetheart. :D
