"I am not your Traditional Golf Player" says Dan, Junior at Leland High School, "You will not see me in a polo shirt with a hat." Dan plays on the team golf for Leland High School, in San Jose Unifed School District. Dan has been playnig Golf for more than 4 years. He believes that golf is the best sport because it is the most difficult sport. "The skills required to hit a golf ball accurately is enormous." says Dan.

Golf was not always natural for Dan. For the first few months of playing, Dan had trouble learning the correct swing, and even went through several sets of clubs. "So far, I have gone through 3 sets of irons, 3 putters, 5 wedges, 3 3woods, 2 2irons, and 6 drivers"

"The most rewarding part of Golf when we win!" says Dan. Winning has always been the driving force for Dan's successful game. "Putting my mind on winning, and seeing my opponent defeated is the most entertaining thing in the world!" says Dan.

Dan's other interest includes sleeping and eating. Often times Dan would try to combine his interest for golf and his interest for food. "Nothing is better than eating at a golf course."

Dan is not only a great golfer, but one that does not fit underneith the sterotypical golfer. Not only does Dan hate polo shirts, he believes that food goes well with golf. Dan also have a humorous side to him. He believes seeing a monkey swinging a banana golf club would be hilarious. You may see Dan on the PGA tour someday, as the next Ernie Else, but with an attitude. Happy Gilmore might be more of a fitting image for this rising young star.
