Mukesh gave his first hit under Anil Biswas' baton when he
got a prominent share of songs in Pehli Nazar in 1945.
Three years later, he again had a substantial association
with Anilda, in Anokha Pyar and Veena. Mukesh enjoyed
his best years in this era. It wasn't just that he was in
his prime and film music was enjoying a period of great
creativity but the leisurely pace of music of those years
suited his voice very well. Here are the lyrics of a very
