The early fifties' Meena Kapoor had an exquisite lilt to her singing
(and a polish that wasn't present in her Anokha Pyar songs) "morii
aTariyaa pe kaagaa bole", "man kaa pa.nchhii mast pavan me.n" ,
"bhiigii bhiigii raat aa_ii" have all been made memorable by her
distinctive clear-as-bells, twinkling voice.In this song she
negotiates the considerably difficult terminal "aaye"'s with a flair
that is a delight to listen to. The joy and pleasure referred to in
the lyrics are palpable in the very melody of this wonderful Anilda
offering.
