Good morning, Padawans. I am glad to see everyone here. It has been a while since we have been together. Today we will learn the last three Forms of Combat. Master Vaunk smiled at all the Padawans that were finally back at the Temple.
What if our Masters have been working with us on one of those Forms? Bobby looked up at the Battle Master.
Then, that is great. I do know that some of your Masters are comfortable with one or two types of the Lightsaber Forms of Combat. That is fine if they teach you their style, but we will still go over the other Forms for those who do not know the other Forms of Combat. Master Vaunk nodded to the young boy, before turning to the rest of the class.
Hey Padme, where is Anakin? Luna noticed that Anakin was not in the room.
Hey. Him and Obi-Wan are on a mission. He will be back later this afternoon, I think he said before lunch. You do not have to worry, Master Vaunk knows that he will be back here at that time. Padme looked at Luna, before she noticed that the Battle Master nodded to her.
Ok, the First Form we will talk about is Form IV or some will call it Ataru. This Form is known to be the most aggressive Form and it also has the name called the Way of the Hawk-Bat. It is because of this I do discourage any Padawans to study it. Master Vaunk looked at the Learners and was glad to know that their Masters have not taught that Form to their Padawans.
Um . . . my Master did go over that Form with me, but we did not do the Form, because she told me that most of the energy is often translated into sloppy executions. She and Master Obi-Wan did demonstrate the Form to Anakin and I. Padme told Master Vaunk that her Master just explained it to her but that was all she did.
That is fine, Padme. This Form is an acrobatic style and is best practiced by a Jedi, who possess the talents for enhancing their speed and stamina through the Force. The moves of Ataru are numerous and the style is also more disciplined that is wild rush would indicate, and also this Form is on that must have mastered the foot work of Su Ma. the Master paused for a moment, so he could take a drink of water.
The students looked down at their tablets and made sure that they were recording every word of the Master that was standing right in front of them.
Ok, this Form also has three movements: 1). Jun Su Ma: rapid spin. 2). Ton Su Ma: a somersault, and 3). En Su Ma: a cartwheel. Now like I said it takes a very skilled Jedi to use all three moves in Conjunction with the Force to leap higher and jab faster. Ok after lunch we will discuss Form V. Master Vaunk finished discussing what Form IV was, when the lunch chimes rang though out the Temple.
Hey, Anakin. You missed the Form IV this morning. Bobby sat down across from Anakin.
Hey, Bobby. Yes, I know and Master Vaunk knew that I was not going to be in class until after lunch. Obi-Wan needed me to help him with something. Hey, Padme. Anakin turned his attention to Padme, as she sat down beside him.
Hey. I did tell him that Nyckol and Obi-Wan told us about Form IV. I also told him that they even showed us the moves and even warned us that we should not be using this Form. Padme began eating her lunch.
That is good. So, did I miss anything else? Anakin watched Obi-Wan and Nyckol come into the room together.
No, he will be going over to the last two Forms, when we get back to class. Luna took a sip of her juice.
Good. I really did not want to miss any more class today. Anakin finished up his lunch.
Twenty minutes later, everybody headed back to the Combat class.
Hey, Anakin. You are here. You did miss the lesson on Form IV earlier today. Chian looked up from his data pad, when Anakin sat down in front of him.
I know and I do know all about that Form too, as does Padme. Anakin looked over to Padme and gave her a wink.
Good afternoon. Now, am very glad that I have all my students finally here. Let us get to the two Forms of Combat. Master Vaunk looked around the room, as he walked up to the front of the room.
Everyone took their seats and Padme looked towards the back of the room, because she had this feeling that the students were being watched. She was right, because standing in the back, was all the Padawans Masters. Her attention was drawn back to the front, when Master Vaunk cleared his throat, before he began speaking again.
Ok, Forms V or Shien/Djem. This Form is known to be the Perseverance Form, or also known as the Way of the Krayt Dragon. It is two aspects, Shien and Djem So, Form V is the most physically demanding of all Combat styles. Master Vaunk stops for a moment and looks at a couple of the Masters, who uses this style before he continue on talking.
While Form IV requires speed and agility, Form V requires strength, Conversely, Jedi of towering stature and imposing musculature may choose to focus on Form V, particularly because it requires less agility than other Forms. This Form is the first part of Form III, then the idea developed Shien, a style that only deflects blaster fire, but it also redirects the bolts back along the chosen vectors to take out the attackers and are often targets of the enemys fire in every direction for maximum damage. Djem So also follows the same philosophy of turning an enemys attack back on him or her, but is optimized for lightsaber to Lightsaber Combat. Master Vaunk stopped and looked around the room and saw a few confused looks on the young Padawans faces.
But Master, could this Form be bad? I mean . . . we are not to really harm or kill another being. This way could hurt or even kill someone. a young female Padawan look frightened at the Battle Master.
Yes, it can, but for those who can balance. It's intimidating aspects with the compassionate applications of the Force may successes in besting even me. Ok, with that all said, we are now going to move onto the Form IV. Master Vaunk looked at all the Padawans and saw a smile on their faces, when he told them that they might be able to best him.
Form VI or the Niman or also called the Moderation Form and the way of the Rancor. This Form is also known as the Diplomats Form. This style is preferred by the Jedi Consular, who have not chosen to make a career out of Combat. This Form is the most balance of all the styles. For starters, it is not as precise as Form II, or as defensive as Form III, as kinetic as Form IV not as dominating as Form V but Form VI does draw from all styles to create a hybrid form marked for it practicality. If you have any questions of this Form or any other Forms, you may ask your Masters, for there are a few who have Mastered all these Forms. Master Vaunk looked at all the Masters that were standing in the back of the room.
The last thing we are going to talk about is the Marks of Contacts. I know that we did go over some of the target zones, when you were Initiates. Now, we are going to go over them again. This time a little more in-depth and there are a couple that we did not talk about, but we are going to talk about them now. the Battle Master looked at each one of his learners that was in front of him.
The first one is called Shiime this one usually inflects superficial wounds. The next one is called Shiak, preferred for its precision, it is the Mark that indicates you are in control of the blade and the Force is in control of you. The third Mark is called Sun Djem which can disarm an opponent by destroying his weapon or forcing him or her to drop it.
Cho-Mai it severs the weapons hand entirely.
Cho-Sun removes the entire weapon arm at the point above the elbow on most humoids.
Cho-Mok it severs different limbs, such as a leg.
Mou-Kei it is forbidden Variant, its literally meaning to dismember which it involves the act of cutting through several limbs at once. You should never need to use Mou-Kei against living beings.
Sai-Cha is the act of cutting an enemys head from their shoulders. When required, a lightsaber can also kill. Only when a Shiak thrust through the heart cannot be done, then this and only this is the preferred method for a fatality. Master looked at all the Padawans, before going over the last Marks of Contacts and saw the total shock on the Padawans faces.
"The last one is called Sai-Tok this Mark one has to slice the entire body into two halves. This act is rightly considered barbaric and evidences of the furious emotions of the Dark Side. Unless you are fighting droids, then no students of mine should never ever use Sai-Tok. That is all for now. Let us all go into the next room and to the Masters to go into the other room, and then the Padawans all got up from the desk and followed their Masters into the other room.
Two hours later, Anakin, Padme, Nyckol and Obi-Wan walked back to their quarters.
I want to say, how very proud that I am of you, Padme. You are becoming very masterful in your fighting techniques. Nyckol smiled at her Padawan Learner.
Thank you, but I really cannot take all the credit for those techniques. I did have some help from Anakin and Obi-Wan. Padme turned and smiled at Obi-Wan and Anakin.
It was a pleasure to teach you, Padme. Well, we are going to relax and Meditate before dinner. Obi-Wan smiled back, before the stopped at their quarter doors.
I think we will do the same thing. We will see you both tomorrow. Nyckol nodded just as Padme opened up their quarter doors.
Everybody went into their quarters, relaxed and Meditated for the rest of the day. As the day came to an end, both Masters and their Padawan Learners climbed into their beds and falling sound asleep.
