Origins & History

The Capellan Confederation began as a collection of small, independent states, banding together for mutual protection against invasion or absorption by their larger, more powerful neighbours. The wealthiest and most influential of these were the Capellan Hegemony and Liao Republic. The Hegemony was founded in 2270 after a vote by its member worlds, with the planet Capella its capital. Famous for its libraries and data repositories, Capella had previously been the hub of the Capella Co-Prosperity Sphere - an informal trade and defence alliance with neighbouring worlds.
