O'great spirit whose voice I hear in the wind,
and whose breath give life to all the world.
Hear me for I am small and weak.
I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty and let my eyes ever behold the sunset.
O'great spirit, make my hand respect the things you have made.
Make my ears sharp to hear thy voice.
Make me wise that I may understand all you have taught
my people.
Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and every
rock.
Give me strength, great spirit, not to fight my brother,
but to fight my greatest enemy, myself.
Make me always ready to come to you with
clean hands and unveiled eyes.
So that, great spirit, when my life fades as the sunset fades,
my spirit may come to you without shame....
