The giant, golden eye slowly crept across the sky with a blinding light. An aura of heat haloed it like a proud mane of a lion. The great dunes that resembled waves stood inanimate in their thousends, reaching the horizon and beyond. The scorching carpet of bronze seemed to go on for hours, maybe years. You wipe the sweat that dotted your forhead with the back of your hand and pressed on. The sun seemed to be draining energy from you, like a parasite, making every step more and more painful. After half an hour, you fall to your knees. Once again, the hostile desert has claimed another life. Or so it may seem...

Looking up wearily, you notice a shape in the midst of a moderate sandstorm. You close your eyes, not willing to waste your precious energy on this potential mirage. But then you here a voice...
"A human? Could it be? in my terrain..?"
It said, in a soft, velvety accent. You look up again, noticing the shape was no mirage at all. It was an oddly dressed lupine, clad in an egyptian head-dress and desert skirt. The head-dress was white, rimmed with green with three red strokes going across his muzzle. His skirt was also white and rimmed with green. Red jagged markings went over both of his docile, amber toned eyes. He laughed aloud, despite the current situation you were in.
"I thought you would come." He muttered with a twinkle in his eye. You blink slowly, wandering what he was on about.
"How..how did you know?" You scoff, unconvinced by his words. This only made him laugh even more. "I have my ways, human, I have my ways." He replied, with a smirk.
