![]() Step 6: Dress-up Gaz! Batteries not included... The dress here is unbelievably easy! Just a triangle!! (I'll get to her little "skull" necklace in a moment) One thing I've noticed about the "Zim"-style artwork is that the kid-sized characters who wear triangle-shaped outfits (Zim, Gaz) are almost always drawn with a perfectly straight back, and the front of the shirt/dress is what pokes out! See above how her back is totally straight? Completely vertical? Perpendicular to the horizon line? (Ack, I've been in algebra too long...)
![]() Step 7: Leg and Feets (yes, I meant for my pluralization to be horrible. It's funny.) I like to do the boots first, since it just seems easier (to me, anyways). The top part of the boot is just a triangular shape, and the foot part is kind of a crescent (like a human eye shape). The legs are just parallel lines, so I won't insult your intelligence by going into those. :)
![]() Step 8: Details, details... Now for the decorations!! All that's left to add are the little stripes on her sleeves and...uh...I guess those are tights...maybe pants, I dunno. Also add the little skull necklace, and just for fun, I added in a raised eyebrow, just to make her look interested in something! ^_^
![]() If you're just getting started with drawing these characters, I really wouldn't recommend doing a semi-elaborate coloring job like this...unless you're like me and are excessively confident in yourself... ^_~
