I’ve pondered
and wondered
figured
calculated
evaluated
estimated
guestimated
the light of my minds-eye refracted into a thousand pieces
I’ve seen it all play out thousands of times
and I think to myself
maybe
it could
with maybe just a little bit of dumb luck here
a complete change in life there
but the odds are there
Like Russian Ruelet 
only in a good way
the torn and worn soul
left haggard and low
may be repaird
it might  make it
and as the darkness draws nigh
only one word is the solitary life boat
