Basic Cadet Training (don't worry! this time as cadre, hahaha) |
During my Summer Academics period, I asked a cadet friend of mine if he knew of any good bible studies in the area, in hopes of finding a group to help me grow more in my walk with Christ. He told me about Seekers, with the First Pres church in town. I asked if he would be willing to take me the next time they met, and he did. After my second time at Seekers, Jason asked me to the movies. We had to go on a Monday, as I was working all weekend with BCT. We went to the Elephant Bar, an excellent restaurant in town, then saw The Bourne Supremacy. Afterwards, we went downtown to shoot pool, and wound up the evening talking. We started officially dating that night, which was slightly scary for me since I had been single for about a year and a half. However, I am glad we did.
Jason had the joy of being my first boyfriend to ever meet my brother in person while dating me, but I think it went well. He walked away with both legs intact, and a simple warning from the big brother. Oh ya, and he brought me a dozen white roses randomly cause he felt like getting me flowers.
*editor's note: just two months after we began dating, we ceased to do so. the busy schedule the two of us had proved more than Jason was ready to deal with, and we parted ways.
