Trust in Me

Beyond the senseless chatter
and my mind's imagination
spoke a Voice that really mattered,
and it broke my concentration
on my Self, and I fell
to my knees.
Beyond the raging traffic
and financial obligations
came a Touch that felt like magic,
breaking my preoccupation
with my pride, and I cried,
"Oh, my Lord...

lift me up in Your heart;
keep me safe from the dark
inside of me."
And I heard, "You are loved;
you're my Child; you're good enough -
just let it be...
trust in Me."
