This is a local study group, not a coven! We meet once a week on Saturdays at a private out door sheltered location in Plano. If you would like to join us and are 18 or older please e-mail me for more info.We meet at 7pm, if you are under 18 a parent must come with you, no drop-offs please!After you e-mail me I will send you a map with driving directions.
We meet for sabbats if there are enough of us showing up and we will sometimes have special workshops (these may require you to have certain supplies or buy some ahead of time from me if you can't drive into Dallas before the class to get them) . Remember to RSVP! You will need to bring a notebook and pen and maybe some snacks (we will have BBQ parties after classes and rituals sometimes). I will bring some materials I have and extras like herbs, oils, and candles, etc. that I will have for sale if you haven't been able to get any of your own. You don't have to dress fancy as this is an outdoors type thing but be prepared to walk around with your shoes off! Cloaks and robes are cool to wear but remember to watch out for long sleeves, catching fire in the middle of a ritual is not a good thing! We will be in a park next to a pond, but please remember to help keep the area clean and respect the law -this means NO swords! Your Athame if you choose to carry one with you must be under 3" according to the law. Hope to see more Plano Wiccans crawl out of the woodwork and join us soon!
The next workshop will be on making herbal tinctures, syrups, teas, and tonics for general uses (headaches, fever reducers, ect.)The class is free! The class will be held on the last Saturday of this month at 6pm -one hour before the general group meeting.
SUPPLIES FOR THE HERBAL CLASS
You can bring your own from home or buy sets from me, just let me know before you come so I have time to put togather sets of supplies for you! The price for a set for this workshop is $30.
HERBS: LAVENDAR, VALERIAN ROOT, HOPS, GINGER ROOT, CRAMPBARK, PENNYROYAL LEAF, SKULLCAP, BURDOCK ROOT, ECHINACEA, PAU D'ARCO, LICORICE ROOT EQUIPMENT: TEASPOON OR TABLESPOON, MORTAR AND PESTLE (If you have one, otherwise a mixing bowl), bottle of white vinager, 4 screwtop jars or rubber top jars that seal very tightly! a few ziplock bags.
