Sydney

Sydney is the largest city in Australia, and the capital city of the state, New South Wales. It takes about a 1 hour plane-ride from Melbourne, or about 13 hours by car. The harbour and surrounds are really great, but as a city, I prefer Melbourne! ;)

Sydney Harbour

Sydney is famous for its harbour. This photo was taken from "Centrepoint Tower", in the city-centre. Once you leave the harbour, you are then in the Pacific Ocean.

Sydney Harbour Bridge

This is what Sydney is famous for, this bridge, also known as the "Coathanger". You can catch 'taxi ferries' which take you all over the harbour, an excellent way to see the sights and to get from one end of the harbour to the next, fairly efficiently and cheaply too. And, best of all, a great place to get a photo! :)

Opera House

Of course, the other main attraction of Sydney is the Opera House.
