The Ohio River Rats started in 2000. It was me, Dinker on guitar and vocals, Ben Ames on guitar, Brad Glick on bass, and Justin Haviner on drums. We had todrive from Evansville to Henderson to pick up Bradley's prebuscent ass, then drive to Chandler to practice at our friend Chuckie Failure's house. Chuck rocks! He always let us play and we really came together as a band there. Ben and I have known eachother since the 6th grade and we always talked about starting a band. I was in the Kittens with Bradley and we asked him to play bass. Chuckie introduced us to Justin and we named ourselves the Ohio River Rats.
We listened to alot of different music, but pnuk rock mostly of course. I think over all our favorite bands were the US BOMBS, DROPKICK MURPHYS, RANCID, and so many more STREET PUNK/OI bands. And that's pretty much what our sound evolved from.
A year or two later things were not at ease in Bird Mouth Mouth. At the time, Bradley didnt seem to into the band. There's really no way to sugar coat that you kicked someone out of the band, but we thought it was for the best. We sniffed butts and made up. Brad kicks ass. Timmy Denton joined the band and he really likes Grippos. I'll finish this later, I'm tired.
