Robert Ashley Alvis III, Baha'i musician, poet, public speaker, and mystic, age 53, died of natural causes at his home in Covington, Georgia.

Ashley was born on July 27, 1950 and was an active member of Shades Crest Baptist Church throughout his youth. A 1968 graduate of Berry High School, Birmingham, Alabama, Ashley later became a member of the Baha'i Faith and was active in "fireside" talks, schools, public entertaining, and a contributing participant in Millennial Mystics.
