POWERPOINT AND INTERNET ASSIGNMENT

Research a topic of your choice related to careers in computers. As a minimum find answers to the following.  Do not be afraid to go beyond the guidelines outlined below.

• What is the career?

• What training and/or education is required?

• Where would you get the required training and/or education (a list of possibilities)?

• What is the cost of the training and/or education?

• What is the length of the training and/or education?

• What are the duties and responsibilities of the career?

• What are the salary expectations at the start of the career and what are the maximum

salary expectations?

• Can this career lead to other career opportunities—if so, describe?

Prepare a PowerPoint show on the career. Plan your presentation to

use the various features of the program. Remember that the

purpose of the features, such as animation and transition, is to

enhance the material. Too many effects can detract from the overall

quality of the presentation. Your slides should demonstrate a logical

flow of information.

The power point presentation should demonstrate the following:

      • 8- 10 slides

      • a variety of layouts

      • use of graphics

      • use of colour (background, titles etc.)

      • animation and transition effects

      • use of a graph or table

      • attractive layout (eg. centre slide information, etc.)

Make sure all referenced websites are included in your slide show.
