Time can fly

And days go by

I sit around

And wonder why

When I blink

Everything changes

Friends are enemies

The world rearranges

 

Under the strain

I can’t contain

The thought that life

Is all in vain

So look around

And tell me how

Things became

How they are now

 

Time, is not on our side

We run and we hide

We won’t realize

‘Til our friends have died

That life has gone by

Weeks and days

Can slip away

So tainted a view

Of our life

To only see
