Thoughts

I've been receiving some e-mail from people telling me that I'm wasting my time with this site. They say that the only 'real' vampires in the world are the human vampires...people that are in to vampirism as a culture. They tell me that I will never uncover anything new and that I should stop trying.

I realize that there are human vampires. They are normal human beings like you and me that happen to drink blood. Then there are the everyday people that say they are 'psi' vampires. I'll go along with that one too. There have been a few people that I've been around that seem to suck the energy right out of those around them. I'm not denying these types of vampires do exist.

I may never uncover any evidence that immortal vampires are real, but why does that make the search silly and pointless? Why should I accept the opinions of a few people that have decided for themselves that there is no such thing as an immortal vampire? I accept only the fact that they are entitled to their own opinion.

I agree that immortal vampires are probably very different from the Hollywood depiction of them, or the way they have been written about in books. That doesn't make the search for them useless. I think that makes the search for them more important so that people will know the truth.

I really do welcome your opinions and comments. Even those of you that call me silly. Just don't expect me to automatically adopt your opinions, shut this site down, and start a new one about why I think N'sync is way hotter than the Backstreet Boys. Everyone knows that the Backstreet Boys could kick N'sync's ass in an old wet saloon brawl.
