For being humane to captured prisoners during the war in the North African desert and for fighting for his country and not the hateful 'ideals' of Adolf Hitler's regime. I also admire him for his courage in attempting to rid the world of Hitler despite the enormous odds against him.

For, despite his deafness, composing some of the most beautifully serene and some of the most chaotic classical musical works such as the 9th Symphony and the 5th Symphony, two of my personal favourites.
