D.I.Y. Cast Blinky Bio
D.I.Y. Cast Blinky Bio

Formed As a 3 peice in 1997, Philip, brother Jacob and friend Devin starting playing a grunge style of music. Nirvana and the Melvins covers where the norm until addition of 2nd guitarist and fellow corydon kid Coby Wheeler. Being 2 years older than Philip and 4 years older than Jacob and Devin he had a different idea of the bands sound.

By the winter of '98 the nameless quartet booked there 1st show at the Abyss. Owner Doug saw a small metal pac-Man ghost pin on the lapel of Devin's leather and said "WoW, look a die-cast Blinky!" So it was done we had our name, DIE Cast Binky! There wasn't to many people at the first show, but Chuckie was there to see the start of 'em. After we played a band called the Kittens made a surprise appearance. That was it.

Soon after that we played a show in Chandler, IN with zXz and the Mullets. It was one of the greatest shows we have ever palyed. A few months after the show D.C.B. joined a little record label own by a group of sceen kids, called Trash Rock Records. We also changed our name to D.I.Y. Cast Blinky and it stayed that way. Owner Luke Gluehead with the help of Chuckie Failure made some live tapes and CD's tht were sold. We did some shows and other stuff with TRR. Then in 2000 the TRR label faded away. Awwww....

After a year and a half to 2 years of playing , D.C.B. formed a following of kids. At the peek of what seemed to be our popularity 2 members of the band we load our equipment to. Stole the Amps and a P.A. to pawn it.

After a well deserved year break we recouped with new equipment. guitar, and a new sound. We shortened the name to D.C.B. and hit the sceen.

Back in the sceen for almost a year and rockin' harder than before we're drawn and turned-off many people with the raunchy, metallic-punk onslaught of madness and just if your wondering, we are not going to away. So, join us or get used to it.

Now D.C.B. is on Bird Mouth Mouth Records. We are planing stuff with 'em. So, if things go good we'll have a demo or something. Thanks to the BMMR crew!

We are infuenced by Dead Kennedys, Blood For Blood, Integrity, Slayer, All Out War, G.G. Allin, Dwarves, Meatmen, Antiseen, Venem, and the Mentors. We like alot of the various underground punk, early thrash and crossover bands, a blend of outlaw country, and Rock 'N' Roll.
