My Favorite Things To Do

Space Stop

Welcome to the Space Stop. Enjoy your stay!!

Hi. My name is Travis Kaufman. I love to create personal websites because it's fun and it gives e something to do. This website is basically about me (well, the concept of it is) and soem stuff for you people. See ya lata!!:-D .

Karate Fightin

Did you know that I was a black belt? I bet you didn't!! I'm going to teach you some of my moves that i learned to you.

Fighting Stance: Step back with your right foot so that you're standing sideways. Extend your right foot slightly to the right and very slightly forward. Raise your left hand in front of your face and your right hand in front of your chest. Congratulations, you are now in a fighting stance.

Crescent Kick: In a right fighting stance (explained above) extend your right foot out in a semicircle going left. This Kick uses the blade of your foot. It's a transition into one of my favorite moves:

Tornado Kick: This is one of my favorite moves. It's awesome!! From a right fighting stance execute a crescent kick. As you put the foot down, pivot on the left foot. Then jump - spin and raise your left knee. Right after that throw another crescent kick in midair over the raised knee and land in a left fighting stance. I know it sounds complicated but if you understand this and master the move it looks awesome.

Backfist: This is SOOOOOOOOO easy. All you have to do is from a right fighting stance extend your left elbow out at head level.

Reverse Punch: Oh, come on - everybody knows hot to punch! GEEZ! Throw your left or right hand out face or chest level in a fist. There, Happy?

Combo 1-B: In our school, we have different combonations to use when we fight. WHile running in toward the opponent, execute a backfist to the head, a reverse punch to the stomach, and another backfist to the head. Keep following that combo: backfist, reverse punch, backfist, reverse punch, etc. until the opponent falls or, if your doing point sparring, the judges tell you to stop.

Sparring Tips

1. Keep your head up: always make eye contact with the opponent and keep 100% focus on the match.
2. Around or in: at the beginning of the match, you cna do 1 of two things: you can either blitz (come in with a freestyle combo like combo 1-B) or circle out and wait for the opponent to come in. Never, under any circumstances, NEVER move back.
3. Countering is the key: make sure you're ready for anything. If the opponent blitzes you, lift your foot up and blast him in the chest. If he tries to kick you, knock hte kick away and blitz him.
4. Prefixes and suffixes: always have add-ons and extensions to combos; improvise. For example, add an advancing kick before combo 1-B and a spinning back kick (if you know how) after. Linking moves together is a key element to winning a fight.
5. Up and at it: THE key elment to winning a fight is to always be moving. Don't even stop for a second. Move your feet at all times. If you stop, it takes away your time and gives it to your opponent.
6. Psyche!! HAHA: Trick the opponent. Start to blitz but then stop and circle out, stutter step, juke - [kind of] scare the person. There are many other ways to pysche out an opponent but I'd be sitting here typing all night liting them. And I just can't afford to do that.
