Immigration

            Canada has always relied on immigrants to help the economy and to make Canada a better place to live. These immigrants have come from all over the world and for different reasons. This section explores the people involved with immigration as well as the actual journey, technology and some interesting facts.

 

World War 1

            World War 1 also known as the Great War began around August 4, 1914 and ended around November 11, 1918. The Great War was also very slow due to the building of trenchs. All of Europe was split into two groups, the triple alliance and the triple entente. .

 

1920’s

This section spans from 1920 to 1929. During this time Canada experienced a great ride in the economy. Businesses grew, people got jobs and were able to purchase more conviences and devices such as radios, cars and entertainment.

 

1930’s

            This section spans from 1930 to 1939. It was during the 1930's that the great depression hit. During the depression the stock market crashed, people lost their jobs and the praries experienced a horrible drought. Many families went broke and there were many more unemployed.

 

 

World War 2

            After World War 1, Germnay was devastated. Hitler took power over Germanmy and created the Nazis,a group that believed the Aryan race was the best. Hitler procedded to take over Europe and soon Britian was the only country not under German control. Britian fought Germany in the air, on land, and in the sea. Eventually, America joined the war effort and Germnay surrendered.
