X23 returns in "Target X," the new episode of X-Men: Evolution scheduled to air on Saturday, Sept. 13 on Kids' WB!.
July 13-X-Men: Evolution returns to the Kids' WB! Saturday morning lineup on Saturday, Aug. 2 with new episodes.
July 7-Wolverine is the newest character featured in Hard Hero's line of X-Men: Evolution maquettes.
The character will be featured in his appearance from the first two seasons of the show.
Wolverine will be limited to 2,500 pieces with 200 artist proofs. It will ship in either September or October with a suggested price of $100.
In other X-Men: Evolution news, Warner Home Video will release DVD versions of the previously released home videos from the first season on Sept. 23. They include UnXpected Changes, X Marks the Spot, Xplosive Days and Xposing the Truth.
May 14-Boyd Kirkland, producer of the X-Men: Evolution animated series, told The Continuum that pre-production on the fourth season is "progressing rapidly."
"We have recorded all nine shows, and are currently storyboarding the two-part finale," Kirkland told The Continuum on Monday from his Film Roman office. "Several of the shows are overseas in animation, and we should be getting footage back the end of July.
"We've got some really interesting stories, with pretty shocking developments for several of our key characters. Guest villains will include Omega Red, as well as more of Apocalypse. One episode focuses on the Brotherhood, and another focuses on Gambit. It's some really exciting stuff!"
Four episodes remain from Season 3. It was originally believed that Kids' WB! would broadcast them in conjunction with the release of X2, but the remaining episodes currently are not scheduled.
"I've heard rumors that the final four episodes of this season will be held until next fall, but nothing definite. The network isn't talking one way or the other," Kirkland said. "I understand that some of them have aired overseas already, however."
Here are some pictures from the new episode that is to air soon, called Cruise Control.
The network has not officially announced an air date for the episode, but it will likely be broadcast during a week of daily broadcasts beginning April 28.
"Cruise Control," which features Magma, was written by Steve Granat and Cydne Clark and directed by Gary Graham.
December 10-The Continuum has obtained the titles and credits for the remaining four episodes of the third season of Kids' WB!'s X-Men: Evolution.
November 15-"Self Possessed," a new episode of X-Men: Evolution that spotlights Rogue, will premiere on Saturday on Kids' WB!.
The show's creators are promoting the episode as one of the series' best.
"This episode is what happens when everything goes right," Marvel Studios' Craig Kyle told The Continuum. "The writing, storyboarding, directing, animation, editing and music are all outstanding. We have set quite a high bar for any future episodes."
The episode was written by Greg Johnson and directed by Curt Geda.
Johnson, the show's story editor, provided The Continuum with insight into the episode. "We really put Rogue through the emotional ringer in this one, and the result is not only a testament to Megan Black's wonderful voice acting, but the incredible animation and direction that supports it. Though I'm the credited writer, I have to say this episode has greatly benefited from the creative input of many people, particularly Boyd Kirkland and Craig Kyle. It's also stunningly directed by Curt Geda.
"This story is yet another example of the unique difficulties our young mutants go through as they mature and develop. Occasionally they reach the breaking point, and either take off for a while like Evan did, or come through it better off, like Jean. How Rogue fares is something you don't want to miss."

October 23-Kids' WB! has announced two new episodes of X-Men: Evolution for the November sweeps.
"The Toad, The Witch and The Wardrobe" will air on Saturday, Nov. 9. It is written by Steve Granat and Cydne Clark.
Here's how story editor Greg Johnson describes the episode:
"A lighter episode that pokes fun at the lengths Toad will go in order to win the heart of Wanda. But look for some interesting developments in Wanda's search for her father."
"Self Possessed" will air on Saturday, Nov. 16. It is written by Johnson.
Here's how Johnson describes the episode:
"The numerous personalities Rogue has absorbed over the years now start waging war for dominance within her. The ordeal cements a bond between her and one of the other X-Men."
October 10-Mystique and Spyke step into the spotlight in upcoming episodes of X-Men: Evolution on Kids' WB!.
The network on Tuesday night announced the following schedule: "Blind Alley" on Saturday, Oct. 19, a repeat of "Mindbender" on Saturday, Oct. 26, "X-Treme Measures" on Saturday, Nov. 2
X-Men: Evolution story editor Greg Johnson provided The Continuum with loglines for the new episodes.
In "Blind Alley," Mystique escapes Area 51 with one thing on her mind: vengeance against the person who locked her in there.
In "X-Treme Measures," Evan's mutation is becoming more and more difficult to control, and so is his temper. He finally finds solace and acceptance in a most unlikely place -- but at what cost?
It's likely at least two more new episodes of X-Men: Evolution will air in November.
October 8-The original five members of the X-Men will team up for an episode of X-Men: Evolution this season.
"We really wanted to do an original five episode and we struggled to figure out how the heck we could get just those five characters together, and we did a nice job, I think," Marvel Studios' Craig Kyle said. "You get to see the original team in an episode by themselves. It's pretty cool."
The episode will involve one of the three keys needed to unlock Apocalypse.
Kyle was speaking at a recent X-Men: Evolution convention panel in Los Angeles.
For part two of an edited panel transcription, CLICK HERE.
October 4-A new episode of X-Men: Evolution, "The Stuff of Villains," will air this Saturday on Kids' WB!.
The episode is written by Adam Beechen and directed by Gary Graham.
"What I like about this episode is the shift in tone," X-Men: Evolution story editor Greg Johnson told The Continuum. "The previous three episodes have dealt with some fairly weighty issues, and it's time for a breather. The Brotherhood Boys have a pretty strong presence in this one, and whenever they're involved, humorously odd things tend to happen, with Toad stealing the show, once again.
"But I have the feeling most eyes will be on a certain Cajun fellow."That "Cajun fellow," of course, is Gambit who was featured in promos for the episode and gets his most significant screen time in the episode. He also speaks for the first time.
Check back later on Friday here in The Continuum for screen grabs from the episode.

September 13-X-Men: Evolution begins its third season on Kids' WB! on Saturday with "Day of Recovery," an episode that Marvel Studios' Craig Kyle describes as "wall-to-wall action."
The episode picks up from last season's finale, with the X-Men and the Brotherhood exposed as mutants to the general public, which does not respond well.
"Day of Recovery' is wall-to-wall action with some fun comedy beats and emotional moments mixed in," Kyle told The Continuum. "Boyd (Kirkland, producer) did an excellent job editing the show. The flow of the episode is one of our best.
"The sounds took two weeks to build and the final result is astounding. The entire world is alive with music and FX.
"I'm completely biased, but I think the fans will agree with what I'm saying after they see it. There is something for every X-Men fan in this episode."
The episode also continues the arc of Professor Xavier's disappearance.
"In both 'Day of Recovery' and 'Stuff of Heroes,' the stress of not having Xavier in a leadership role definitely raises the anxiety levels," X-Men: Evolution story editor Greg Johnson told The Continuum. "And Mystique uses this to her advantage to get what she wants."
There's some pics below for Day of Recovery, check them out!
September 12-Creators of Kids' WB!'s X-Men: Evolution animated series will be making a rare convention appearance later this month.

"'Day of Recovery' deals with the aftermath of the mutant reveal, and the X-Men's effort to rescue some of their fallen comrades," Johnson told The Continuum. "There are some interesting developments due to the power struggles within the ranks of the mutants, as well."
Look for Mystique and Storm to play key roles in the episode.
Although Kids' WB! hasn't announced its schedule beyond Sept. 14, it's likely that new episodes of X-Men: Evolution will air for three more successive weeks.
Following "Day of Recovery" is "The Stuff Of Heroes," written By Bob Forward; "Mainstream," story by Johnson, written by Michael Merton; and "The Stuff Of Villains," written by Adam Beechen.

August 16- X-Men: Evolution producer Boyd Kirkland told The Continuum that the show's on track for a third-season premiere on Kids' WB! next month.
"We haven't been given a definite air date yet, but assume it will not be the first Saturday in September ... maybe the second weekend," Kirkland told The Continuum on Thursday.
"We have footage back on the first two episodes, and they look great! Footage on the third episode is due here tomorrow. Pre-production on the last two episodes of the season is still in-house being finished over the next couple of weeks."
In other X-Men: Evolution news:
August 13- The Scarlet Witch will appear frequently in the third season of Kids' WB!'s X-Men: Evolution.
"I'd say she's a reoccurring character, rather than a regular. Kind of like Boom Boom," X-Men: Evolution story editor Greg Johnson told The Continuum.
Johnson said the Scarlet Witch brings a dramatic element to the show.
"Wanda is someone who had lived a tormented life because of her powers, who faces her demons every day, and thus represents the dark side of growing up as a mutant," he said.
"If she had been given the benefit of Xavier's patience and guidance early on, things might have turned out differently for her. In a physical sense, you get the feeling that if she ever became fully in control of her abilities, watch out. You would not want her on your bad side."
Scarlet Witch's first appearance, in "HeX Factor," will be rebroadcast on Kids' WB! on Saturday, Aug. 31.
August 9-I have some Morlocks news! I was right, Lucid and Facade are part of the Morlocks.
"The Morlocks are an intriguing group to me - clearly illustrating that mutants aren't the perfect race, and these unfortunate souls are proof of that," X-Men: Evolution story editor Greg Johnson told The Continuum. "We'll meet a few of them early on in brief encounters, and then a group of them are featured in one episode. Some are taken from the comics, Caliban and Callisto among them, while others have been created specifically for our series." The reason for new characters? "I needed a group to possess specific abilities and personalities useful in the episode they're in, and when I couldn't find them in the archives, I chose to develop them," Johnson said. "Included in the new creations are Lucid, who can peer through solid objects, and Facade, who can camouflage himself." Johnson said the Morlocks won't be a big part of the cast, but they do play an important role in the life of one core character. Like most of the characters in the show, the Morlocks were designed by Steve Gordon, a director of the first two seasons who now works at Dreamworks.
"My main thinking was to design characters that couldn't easily blend into normal society -- without the use of an image inducer, of course -- and I tried to create designs that somewhat reflect their powers," Gordon told The Continuum. "I also wanted to get away from that dated look of the comics while still trying to keep true to the original intent." Below are some pictures of the Morlocks. Click on the images to make them bigger.
August 8-Two days ago I found this magazine called Wizard and it had a special edition all about the x-men. My sister decided to buy it and it had some really cool x-men evolution news. For one thing, Wanda (Scarlet Witch) will be going through some changes as well as Wolverine and Rogue. Rogue is gonna have to deal with the overload of borrowed abilities that she's stored up and her interest in Gambit. Another bit of really interesting news is that an evolution is going to appear on Spyke. His changes are going to take him out of the series for a little bit. His fate is gonna be up in the air, but he'll be going through some interesting times. Season three is going to focus on the nest stage of mutant life now that everyone knows about their mutant powers. It's going to deal with how their friends and family are going to react now that they're out in the open. I also had a really awsome picture that has new outfits for Storm, Beast, Wolverine and Rogue. It also has Callisto and two other mutants called Lucid and Facade, who I think are Morlocks. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner to put it on the computer. Keep on looking for more news.
August 3-Here's some more news. There will be a new major female character called x23 this season. Series story editor Greg Jonson wrote an episode concerning Rogue, and Chris Yost and marvel studios Craig Kyle wrote the seasons last three episodes. Below are some pictures of Wolverine in his new uniform, and him with another black outfit. There is also a picture of Gambit, and this time he's wearing his trenchcoat and has his red eyes! Yay, Gambit's here! Click on the images below to enlarge them.
July 30- This is some great news, when I heard it I started to jump and I was so excited. First of all, as some of you may know, there will be a new begining to the x-men:evolution show. The music will be the same, but longer. Also, it will have different images, and this time beast will be included in the intro. Also, Wolverine will have a new costume, and this time it will be black. As for the episodes, one of them will feature the Morlocks who are going to be led by Callisto. Another episode will be centered around Rogue. There will be another episode where a unique combination of characters will get together on an adventure. Also, one of the character's mutant powers will evolve more, and a new major character will be introduced. The first episode wi
"Impact" will air on Saturday, Aug. 30. The episode was written by Johnson.
"A little time has passed since the X-Men's devastating defeat at the hands of Apocalypse," Johnson said. "The dust is starting to settle, but not the emotions. Rogue has a lot to deal with after being the vessel that brought Apocalypse back to power, and Magneto isÊobsessively driven to hunt downÊthis ancient mutant at all costs.
"We've taken some bold moves with this episode, the results of which will have a lasting impact on our characters, as well as the rest of the season. Look for some great direction and animation, and really superb music."
"No Good Deed..." will air on Saturday, Sept. 6. The episode has a story by Johnson, Craig Kyle and Boyd Kirkland and was written by William Forrest Cluverius.
"We felt it was time to step away from the Apocalypse storyline, and we knew we wanted to tell a Brotherhood focused story," Johnson said. "So a lot of ideas were tossed around until we finally came up with a great vehicle for them. When their selfish actions are mistaken by the public as being heroic, these guys deal with it as only the Brotherhood can. A very fun episode that also brings Kelly back into the mix."
The episode will also feature X-Men: Evolution in its new time period of 11:30 a.m. (ET). Static Shock is going on hiatus, but will return for a fourth season.
The episode is written by Craig Kyle, who created X23, and Chris Yost.
"X23 thought by destroying Wolverine she could free herself from the life she was forced to live. She was wrong," Kyle told The Continuum in describing the episode.
"Now the ones who made her have come to take their property back!"
The first new episode to be aired is "X23," featuring a major new character created by Marvel Studios' Craig Kyle.
Here's how the episode is described:
"Wolverine discovers that his DNA has been used to create a new Weapon X - a 14-year-old mutant girl! Having experienced a traumatic childhood and a past shrouded in mystery like her genetic donor, she's volatile and dangerous. Infiltrating Xavier Institute, she begins to immobilize the X-Men one by one - and lies in wait for Wolverine..."
"X23" is written by Kyle and Chris Yost and directed by Curt Geda.

Other new X-Men episodes from the third season will include "Cruise Control" and the two-part "Dark Horizon." Nine new episodes are being produced at Film Roman for Season 4.
Here's a rundown:
* "Cruise Control," written by Steve Granat and Cydne Clark, directed by Gary Graham.
* "X23," story by Craig Kyle, written by Chris Yost and Kyle, directed by Curt Geda.
* "Dark Horizon Part One," story by Greg Johnson, Boyd Kirkland and Kyle, written by Yost and Kyle, directed by Frank Paur.

August 27-"We've gotten three episodes back from animation (overseas) and they all look strong, we expect the fourth this week," says Craig Kyle from Marvel Studios. "Fans have high expectations for this season, and I'm sure we will meet those expectations," Kyle said. Some other news is that Magneto will make more than one appearance in the third season. One more thing, I have Rogue's civies outfit for the third season, click on it to check it out.
The episode, which picks up on events from last season's finale, was written by Steve Granat and Cydne Clark. The story is by Greg Johnson and Boyd Kirkland.
After last season's finale, where the characters were revealed to the public as mutants, expect some roster shuffling this season.
"As part of the reactions of how some people respond to some of the pressures, some just won't be able to deal with it and some will disappear," producer Kirkland told The Continuum. "At least for a while.
"We're going to play with who's there, who's not there, who comes and goes. And part of that is just to make interesting story telling. And part of it, too, is that the show can become really unwieldy.
"With the numbers of characters we're juggling here, it becomes a pretty tough task to juggle all that in these 20-minute episodes we have to tell stories. We have to keep it all under control."
* The show's time period will be announced this week by Kids' WB!.
* The network has already begun advertising the season premiere, emphasizing a search for Professor Xavier. It was revealed that Mystique had been impersonating Xavier at the end of last season.
* Look for Angel to appear again in Season 3.
