Prologue:
He watched her silently from the corner of the bedroom, her long blonde hair spread out like soft spun silk across the down-filled pillow that she tossed upon. Her skin was pale from lack of sunlight and her features as delicate as the fine china he remembered lining the walls of his mother’s kitchen so long ago. He longed to take her, to end her un-necessary suffering, but he couldn’t. Something deep within him wouldn’t allow him to do that. Not yet, anyway. His body ached for her and he knew that ultimately he would have her. He would seduce her into his world with the promise of a forever love, an insatiable lust for each other, and an endless journey of togetherness. Soon, very soon, she would be his. His eternal bride.
