Halloween (1978)
If ever you have the opportunity to watch this film, do so. Don't worry about petty things like, "But the gore in this one supposed to be redder!" It doesn't matter. The gore film won't scare you. Halloween will. Guaranteed. Heck, I watched in broad daylight with all of the lights on, and I was still freaked out. John Carpenter created the only slasher movie you'll ever need. Friday the 13th is just a cheap imitation. The story is well-known: 6-year-old Michael Myers kills his sister on Halloween night in 1963. 15 years later, he escapes from the asylum, and returns home... Jamie Lee Curtis plays the babysitter stalked by Myers. She's a little too hysterical, but in that situation, I suppose I would be too. This is a must-own. If you can, try to get the deluxe two-tape edition put out by Anchor Bay.
Famous Quote: Laurie (Curtis) Was that the bogeyman?
Dr. Loomis (Pleasence) As a matter of fact...it was!
