The Craft (1996)
Are you a good witch or a bad witch? The underlying theme seems to be taken from "The Wizard of Oz." This film portrays teenagers in a stereotypical way. All of the guys are portrayed as idiotic, jockish, and waiting to be laid. All of the main girls except one smoke. I feel as though the makers of this film have no clue what teens are like. Another thing is the fact that these girls smoke on school property. But other than these few major facts, the film does do a good job of portraying how outcasts are treated in a school of preps. This movie is not really scary but more thought-provoking. As shown in my favorite quote from this film said by Lirio, the older witch, "True magic is neither black or white; it is both because nature is both, loving and cruel at the same time. The only good or bad is in the heart of the witch, life keeps a balance of its own."
