Purpose of the XP Home Edition

The purpose of the Windows XP Home Edition program is to provide the basic user with an environment in which to work, use the Internet, and protect files.

What makes XP Home Edition easier to use?

1. The desktop is the large colored area on your computer screen; 2. Icons are small pictures you see on the desktop; 3. The Taskbar is the narrow band at the bottom of your screen; 4. Frames that information can be opened through in Windows; 5. The information area is the pale blue area to the right of the taskbar where the clock is displayed; 6. The Start Menu is the green button on the left of the taskbar that contains what you need to begin using Windows.
