In Soviet time most prisoners have served their terms in labor camps. This prison was for detainees, folks on trial... They lived here for months...

This is prison yard. In the corner is kennel for German shepherd. Yard is not for exercise. Such things as walks, heater, sugar and linen were a luxury reserved for informants. The rest had hot water once a day, some gruel and loaf of bread.
