The Hair Metal Era.........

I can remember getting my first Metal album when I was about 9 or 10 years old. It was the album "Out of the Cellar" from Ratt, and the video for "Round and Round" was just starting to blow-up on MTV. Never before had I seen grown, heterosexual men - dressed in spandex, wearing makup nicer than my Mom's, and hair teased out to "HERE". Man did I love it! It's bands like Ratt and video's like Round and Round that persuaded me to "beg" my parents for an electric guitar. I wasn't so much interested in learning the tunes as I was in wanting to look just like these rockers..............Here I am, 20 years later and my CD collection is "loaded" with bands like the ones featured on this site.

I dedicate this site, in it's entirety, to the Men and Women who helped shape the greatest era in Rock History, (at least that's what I think). Please feel free to email me with suggestions on how to improve this site, or with any memories or stories you may have from the Hair Metal age.
