Rules and Regulations of the Titan Wrestling Federation
Your Wrestler
- Original wrestlers only. No real life wrestlers or valet/managers. Also copycat wrestlers are not acceptable either.
- One character per handler, with the exception of tag team handlers. In some cases this rule may be waived by the head office, but only in special situations in which the front office deems a handler to have the required amount of dedication and skill to juggle multiple characters at once. This will require a history with the TWF which the corporate office may reflect on.
RPs / OOC
- I ask that you at least check through your RP once for spelling and grammatical errors. I know that errors happen, and I'm willing to overlook a few errors here and there, but if your RP is full of them, and I have to struggle to understand the meaning, your RP may be thrown out and not counted. Take the time to make your RPs the best they can be, they are a reflection of yourself, and of the effort you put into the TWF. I'm more likely to push someone who puts more effort over someone who doesn't seem to care.
- RPs must be between 200 - 2000 words for regular weekly cards and 300-3000 words for Pay-Per-View cards.
- 3 RPs per week for regular cards, 4 RPs per week for Pay-Per-View cards
- An RP counts towards your RP count if your character is involved in it in some way which promotes your upcoming match. This applies to tag teams made up of singles wrestlers. Each character has a three RP maximum, so tag team handlers could do a total of six RPs, but three would have to feature one half of the tag team, and three the other. In tag team situations RPs in which both (or in the event of six man tags, all three) members are jointly involved in the RP will reflect more favorably than many individual RPs done by each part of the team. For further clarification contact the front office.
- You may not post more than one RP in a twenty four hour period, except in the case that your opponent rebutts your RP.
- RPs posted past deadline may not be counted towards your match.
- RPs may be designated (Character Development) in the Title and will not count towards your RP count for the week, but will not count towards your match.
- The use of other handler's characters in your RPs is prohibited without expressed consent by that handler. Consent may either be on the OOC board, or sent in an e-mail.
- Feel free to use members of the TWF staff in your RPs, but please be tasteful. Each of the TWF Staff members have short bios to further help you understand what they're all about. If you can't keep a staff member in character, don't use them, if you use a staff character improperly it could be grounds for suspension, or dismissal.
- The Promo Board is for your RPs and the OOC board is for OOC comments. Please don't get the two confused.
- Flame Wars (personal attacks) are not only messy they make us all look bad, so please keep personal attacks to yourself. I understand that situations will come up that will probably make you want to scream about it, but I'd ask you keep your comments to yourself. If you have a complaint, and feel it's not being addressed, please e-mail the head office and we'll discuss the situation. Flammatory remarks will be erased. Of course, there is a difference between having fun and ribbing one another and seriously being cruel, if you don't know, don't bother posting OOC.
Match Strategy and On-Card Segments
- The use of match strategies is permitted in the TWF. A strategy gives the person typing your match an idea of how your character will act throughout the match including certain moves and spots you would like to see your wrestler perform. However strategies are only suggestions and while the card writers will do their best to reflect the image you want to project for your character strategies do not guarantee all or any of your spots or moves will be used, nor that you will win. They bear no influence in the winning of your match.
- Match strategies must be sent into the TWF Corporate Account by the deadline, and must at least loosely adhere to the strategy format outlined in the strat format page of this website, though not all parts need to be filled out.
- Match strategies are different from on-card segments, and so on-card segments should be sent in a seperate e-mail using the on-card segment format outlined in the on-card segment format page of this website.
- Just like match strategies on-card segments may or may not be used and do not influence the chance of you winning your match. The head office will evaluate if your on-card segment provides for character or feud development and in cases where confliction on-air segments are presented may go with which ever one deemed best to influence the storyline and general operations of the federation.
- On-card segments must be sent to the corporate e-mail by the deadline just like strategies.
Titles / Rankings
- TWF rankings are divided into divisions according to each title. These divisions are not set in stone, and wrestlers are free to float in different divisions on occasion, however the division you are placed in reflects whom you should be striving to create angles with.
- Everyone starts from ground zero, and everyone will eventually get a push towards the world title sometime, what you decide to do with it is your perogative. The TWF heirarchy is not set in stone, the world champion from three months ago, may be in the Generation Title division next week. We try to rotate our talent all over the field to keep everyone happy. If you feel you are being unfairly held back, bring it to our attention in an e-mail, not on the public OOC board, and we'll take a second look at your character and make command decisions, however the final decision rests with us, and we won't cater to people just because they whine.
- Inevitably our roster size will dictate that not every wrestler will get a match every week. The booking staff tries to ensure that feud and angle related wrestlers get their matches, and then rookies, and then "no-heaters" will be given matches. So if you're consistently not getting on a card, get an angle going. If you've got an angle going, bring it to our attention.
- One title per character. When a character wins a title if he is already a champion the lesser title is vacated. Sorry, but that's just the way it is.
- Titles must be defended regularly. Titles that are not defended will be vacated. It is the responsibility of title holders to contact the booking staff if you haven't defended your title in several weeks.
**Note: Rules are not set in stone. I will change these rules and add new stipulations at my discretion.**
