Death on Valentines Day
The day began with so much promise:
It was Valentines Day,
That day when our two souls were not astray.
That day I woke up beside you with so much happiness,
If I only knew that this happiness I took for granted would cease.
Everyday I looked at you and your radiant smile smiled back at me,
That smile tasted so sweet, as sweet as could be.
Your glorious hazel eyes,
I hated those tearful goodbyes.
I could feel the heat from your heart,
Burning with so much passion and desire.
Do you remember when, we held hands,
We were acting as god commands.
The bond between our joyful souls could never be broken,
The love we shared could not be spoken.
Meaningless words could not describe,
What each one of us felt deep inside.
Your love was the key to the light of our lives,
Without it I couldn’t imagine how I would survive.
Your love would always light our darkest hour,
That love is eternally lit with so much power.
The light of your life began to diminish,
So with it the light of my life began to finish.
So much for that earlier promise,
"FOR CHRIST SAKE IT WAS VALENTINES DAY"!
Richard.H (R.I.P 14/2/2002) Uncle you will forever be in my heart. God Bless.
