This page is dedicated to the Bosch 1-231-301-058 distributor. The following links show how the distributor works and how it can be repaired and overhauled. If the distributor is too worn, you can still do a electronic ignition upgrade, since it isn't sensitive to small fluctuations in the gap between the igniter and the magnetic sleeve.
This page is for Volvos equiped with B18/20 engines, but the concept is the same. The differences between the two distributors are the rotation and the engine used (4 cylinder versus 6).
