A Backpack with my brother Chris:

August 2001

From Alpental (Snoqualmie Pass) we headed up the Snow Lake Trail with the hopes of climbing Chair Peak via the North East Buttress Route. The hike was great. We were treated to partly cloudy skies and somewhat warm temperatures. We pitched our tent along the ridge of Melakwa Pass, just east of Chair Peak, and went to bed early. At about 2 AM the rain began to fall. We gave up on the climb, packed up our soggy gear, threw on our now very heavy packs (wet) and headed back down to the car...untill next time.
