This is the newest design and might be the most practical and buildable.
The trucks drivetrain has been removed and the trucks frame has been cut down and a modified riding mower transaxle and engine have been fitted to the rear.
The front and rear tires are as small as possible to minimize rolling resistance and "drag" on the vehicle.
The transaxle setup would provide the truck with a reverse and driveway manuveribility.. (up to 15mph or so) as well as a charging system.
The pulsejet in this picture may be a little too large, but a pulsejet engine (or two small pulsejets) producing aprox 200 lbs thrust would be the main force driving the truck.
Underhood would be a LARGE propane tank (pulsejets are fuel hungry) and a throttle valve would be connected to the trucks orignial gas-pedal. (the lawnmower drivetrain would be hand throttled)
The truck would be of course totally impractical for everyday driving.. but it would be fun to occasionally storm down the highway in and leave people in the wake of your jet fumes......
just another idea i'll probably never build :-(... lol
