“Demistifying The Devil ”

||- Foreword -|| So, another group has entered the HHF calling themselves an ‘unholy alliance’. Week in, week out new stables come to the HHF claiming that they will kill the HHF. How many groups have tried and failed? The hardcore brethren came, they conquered, then fell. The brethren’s main objective was to kill the HHF but as all the groups do, they failed. Then there was faded glory, Hawk, Seth Major and Twister. They failed as all the others did. Then an ‘unholy alliance’ was formed calling themselves the new blood. Within weeks, even days this group was no more. The group that came closest in my opinion was the Hollywood productions. They had the HHF wrapped around the tip of their finger; everything was going well for them. Captain America held the HHF world title for months. But once again, it was a failure. Now here we are another group that call themselves an unholy alliance have been formed claiming that they will kill the HHF. What will become of this group? Will they succeed? I think that’s unlikely, there is a message to be learned from all this. A distinct message has been set out and that message is that nobody can kill the HHF. The HHF is here to stay and there’s nothing any group can do about it. Every last one of the groups that tried failed. It’s pointless trying to kill this federation, it will live. It will survive and no-one is going to kill it. The HHF new-era has kicked off recently and what a success it is turning out to be. Though we’ve got the new blood in, old blood are coming back. So far we’ve had the return of master and I’m sure that we can expect more to try and get their positions here in the HHF back, following in the master’s footsteps. We also have new blood such as Trent Dranded, Heretic, Glen Banderra and Tyler Night. Already, Tyler Night has won the junior heavyweight title though he came here with nothing. But the message is, HHF will live and there’s nothing anyone can do about that. Two single men trying to kill this large federation is like sending a one legged man into an ass kicking contest.

||- Scene -|| Recently, HHF superstar Chris O’Haire was re-acquainted with an old friend. A friend that he has achieved so much with. An old friend that wrestled side-by-side with Chris back in XWF in the old days. That man being “the hardcore legend” Jack-O, former XWF world champion. He was as hardcore as they came, he was willing to put it all on the line just for a victory. He would put his career, title, even his life on the line. He always wanted a victory at all costs. Chris and Jack were often referred to as the hardcore icon’s. That name was soon forgotten, however, and so was the tag team when Chris moved to the HHF. It was the HHF that tore this tag team apart. Not only was the name and the tag team forgotten when Chris moved to HHF, also Jack was forgotten about. The scene takes place in a small bar in the city of New York. This bar was nothing special, in fact it was one of the smallest bar’s in town. The creaky door opened and in walked the HHF hardcore champion, Chris O’Haire. He looked around but there was no sign of Jack. He looked around for another while until eventually a voice called out to him…

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| Hey Chris, over here.

||- Scene -|| The time is now 9:30 in the night and outside the bar everything is dark. Chris turned around slowly to the sound of that familiar voice. He saw a man standing in the distance. The man had bleached short hair. He had looked the exact same as he had in the old days. He was wearing a T-shirt that read ‘I wish I was black’. Yup, Jack hadn’t changed. Chris never really knew what Jack’s real name was. Strange, since they knew each other all that time. Chris called back to the man…

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -|| Jack… Is that you?

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| Well who’d you think I was? God?

||- Scene -|| Chris now started laughing. He approached Jack and took a seat at the small wooden table where Jack was sitting.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -|| You haven’t changed a bit man.

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| Thanks, you look pretty much the same apart from a few bruises and scars on the face.

||- Scene -|| Chris smiled once again and Jack-O ordered two beers.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -||So what brings you back to New York Jack?

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| Well I’m in this big court case at the moment…

||- Scene -|| Chris didn’t know what to say in reply to this. He eventually came out with something…

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -|| Well… why?

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| Well, they recon that what I did on TV wasn’t suitable. You remember what I used to do don’t ya?

||- Scene -|| Chris knew well why. Because of the drinking, smoking pot, there were so many reasons… What he did was never suitable for an audience of any age.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -|| Yup, I remember and I must admit that what you did on TV wasn’t exactly… Well you know.

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| Yup I know what you mean. So I see your working for the HHF now. You’ve changed Chris. Soon you’re gonna be driving a Mercedes or Porsche or some shit like that. It usen’t be about the money to you Chris, it usen’t be about the fame. For you it used to be about winning gold and pouring your heart and soul into matches.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -|| Well times change Jack and so do people. What ever happened to you anyway? What doyou do for a living? Are you still wrestling?

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -||Well, in and out of the sport I guess. I ain’t doing anything for a livin’ these days. Things ain’t going to well for me. When I’m not in court for some fucked up charge I’m trying to find a job.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -|| Why didn’t you come to the HHF in the first place?

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -||I think you know the answer to that question Chris so cut the bullshit.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -||Is it because of pride? You never wanted to take on a big federation. You know what Jack? Pride is bullshit, you ain’t going to get anywhere with that attitude.

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| No, you see Chris it ain’t like that… Well it kind of is if I come to think about it but that wasn’t it. Who wants a guy called Jack-O wrestling in their federation? Come on man, I was given the name because Jack-O goes with wacko. I guess I’m just another one of them no good wrestler wannabe’s. I used to be someone but those days are finished and now I’m just a nobody getting sewed.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -|| Jack, they didn’t call you the hardcore legend for no reason. The reason was that you are a legend. Legends never die Jack and you’re just going to have to decide whether you want to wrestle or not. It’s your choice Jack. Trust me, I got off the sport for months, not because of injury but because I was sick of it. Could say I was…

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -||A coward? Yup, seems my time here’s running out.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -||But you just got here…

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| No, not my time in this bar. I meant…

||- Scene -|| Jack hesitated. Chris knew what was going to be his next words he just didn’t want to hear them.

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| I’m dying Chris.

||- Scene -|| Chris pretended he didn’t hear. He couldn’t face the grim reality that one of his best friends was dying. Something had to be done. Something had to be said.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -|| You’re… what?

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| Dying Chris, I’m dying. But you don’t mind that you just go get on with your life and win the HHF title Wednesday Night.

||- “The Hardcore Icon” Chris O’Haire -|| B… But is there any cure?

||- “The Hardcore Legend” Jack-O -|| Nope, no cure. It’s a brain tumour Chris. I should have told you earlier when you asked me why I wasn’t wrestling.

||- Scene -|| Chris didn’t want Jack to die. Jack was one of Chris’s best friends and Chris couldn’t come to terms with this. Can the hardcore legend take much more???

To be continued…
